A family day of MTB riding at Hazeldean Valley Trails 

We invite clubs, friends & individuals to join & compete in this awesome MTB Event


The routes have been well designed to have a good balance of jeep track and single track. The profiles are mostly flatish with a small amount of climbing on the longer distances.

Event Information

When: 12 April 2020, Sunday
Premises will open at 06h00

Late Entries & Number Collection: Late/Line Entries & Number Collection will take place on race morning at the venue between 06h00 and 08h00. (Credit Card, Cash, Zapper & SnapScan). R30 Surcharge on Late Entries

Route options

  • 70km – R200 - 08h00 - 3 x WP
  • 35km – R150 - 08h10 - 1 x WP
  • 10km – R100 - 08h20

Registration Times

- Saturday, 11 April 2020 - Cowhouse from 2-4pm

- Race Day - From 6am onwards

Rules

  • All podium winners must be present at prize giving @ 12pm to collect their prizes,
  • R1,000 spot prize at 1pm
  • Good sportsmanship, no swearing or pushing on the trails(especially towards females) or any party involved as this will result in an immediate DQ, No littering. No exceptions.
  • Please FOLLOW the route markers, READ the distance splits and DONT follow the rider in front of you (as there might be social riders on certain sections of the route).
  • Report any route deviations immediately to the time keeping team, eg if you entered the 70km & only rode the 35km.

RouteProfiles

70km (580hm) Route Profile

Riders with start from the Cowhouse heading their way out with Jeep track in order to spread the field out before entering some awesome single track. On the 40km mark they will head out to a section called no-mans-land, next to the N4 before returning back to the Hazeldean Valley Trails finishing the final 20km on some more single & Jeep track trails. A choice between a cold craft beer from Hazeldean Brewing Co.(over 18 years old) or medal will await the riders at the finish line.


35km (270hm) Route Profile


Riders with start from the Cowhouse heading their way out with Jeep track in order to spread the field out before heading out to a section called no-mans-land, next to the N4 before returning back to the Hazeldean Valley Trails finishing the final 15km on some more single & Jeep track trails. A choice between a cold craft beer from Hazeldean Brewing Co. (over 18 years old) or medal will await the riders at the finish line.
